We are pleased to announce that Marlena Pasieka, a third-year student of engineering studies in the field of Biotechnology at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Rzeszów University of Technology named after Ignacy Łukasiewicz and a member of the Chmielarz Research Group (https://pchmielarz.v.prz.edu.pl/en/group-members), as well as of the Student and Doctoral Scientific Society of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering "IPSUM" (https://ipsum.prz.edu.pl) received a scholarship for academic achievements for students for the academic year 2024/2025, financed from the Own Fund for Scholarships of the Rzeszów University of Technology named after Ignacy Łukasiewicz.
The scholarship from the Own Scholarship Fund is awarded for academic achievements to students who achieved a high-grade point average for the previous year of study, not lower than 4.80. Moreover, additional points could be awarded for scientific achievements. The number of scholarships is established with a division into faculties. At the Faculty of Chemistry, this scholarship could be obtained by only 4 students.
Marlena Pasieka began her scientific activity in the "IPSUM" scientific group in the second year of engineering studies. As part of her research activities, she participates in a project funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education within the framework of the program, "Student scientific societies create innovations" entitled "Curcumin as a natural substitute for diols in the synthesis of innovative polyurethane materials modified with polymethacrylates for applications as functional coatings".
